Uninterrupted symbolic base of the Supreme Council of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Italy, founded, third in the world, in Milan in 1805 by de Grasse Tilly, the Gran Loggia Nazionale dei Liberi Muratori d'Italia (National Grand Lodge of Freemasons of Italy), works for the preservation and perpetration of the highest and purest Scottish Masonic ideals of Liberty, Equality and Fraternity and to maintain and increase a genuine proximity between the peoples of Europe and the Mediterranean.
