On June 28th, just one week after the election of the new Grand Master of the G∴M∴L∴A∴ in Austria, the Grand Masonic Lodge of Portugal (G∴M∴L∴P∴) held its own solemn Grand Master election in the heart of Lisbon. The ceremony took place in one of the world’s most beautiful capitals, bringing together Brethren from across the country and distinguished representatives of several European Grand Lodges to witness this significant moment in Portuguese Freemasonry.
Earlier that day, a high-degree ritual was conducted in the temple of the Lodge Fernando Pessoa. This important ceremony was attended by the Brethren of the host lodge as well as delegates from all visiting Grand Lodges, setting a tone of fraternity, unity, and mutual respect among all present. The ritual not only honored the traditions of Freemasonry but also strengthened the bonds between the participating jurisdictions.
The subsequent election of the new Grand Master marked a milestone for the G∴M∴L∴P∴ symbolizing continuity, leadership, and a shared vision for the future of Freemasonry in Portugal and beyond. The presence of international Masonic representatives underscored the spirit of cooperation and brotherhood that connects lodges across borders, making this day a memorable and historic occasion for all attendees.
