The Path of Light was born from a simple yet profound desire: to come together in a spirit of brotherhood, to share moments of ritual, reflection, learning, and meaningful exchange, and to enjoy the warmth of genuine fellowship. From the very beginning, the intention was also to welcome our families into this special atmosphere, allowing them to experience the bonds of friendship and fraternity that unite us as Freemasons.
The essence of this journey is reflected in its name. We believe that when we come together as men, as Freemasons, and as Brothers, we can overcome barriers, dispel darkness, and allow the Light to illuminate both the world around us and the world within us.
Through ritual, we seek to approach the sacred. Through contemplation and the study of Masonic teachings, we strive to recognize its presence and reflect its meaning in our daily lives. And through meeting, working, and growing together, we learn to understand one another, discovering unity within diversity — the harmony that emerges from apparent disorder, expressed in the timeless Masonic principle Ordo ab Chao.
This journey began many years ago, and this year we celebrate its tenth anniversary. It is a meaningful milestone, one that we neither anticipated nor consciously pursued when we first set out. Rather, it is the natural result of a shared commitment, sustained by every Brother who has contributed to carrying the light forward from one year to the next.
Ten years may seem like only a few steps along a much greater path. Yet each step forms part of a story that began long before us and will continue long after us. Others have passed down what came before; others will one day tell the story of what follows.
Between this past and future lies our own Path of Light — a journey shaped by shared experiences, lasting memories, and the emotions that give meaning to our lives. These experiences are the stones upon which we build, patiently and consciously, our inner Temple.
Above all, this anniversary is an occasion for gratitude.
Our heartfelt thanks go to our Brother Leonardo, whose generosity and vision made The Path of Light possible. He welcomed us for the very first gathering, and for every gathering that followed, into the enchanting clearing of the Montebelli Labyrinth.
His presence remains with us still. We remember the Panama hat in the East, a quiet and enduring symbol of the Brother who brought us together.
And although time moves forward and our journey continues, Leonardo remains forever in our hearts.
